Denied from Wharton and Chicago
Of all the universities I applied to, Chicago and Wharton were the schools I was most hopeful for. In past one week I have got denied from both the schools. I am not checking my status anymore. I have given up the hope of joining a business school this year. If anything changes then I will update this blog. Good luck to all the hopeful and congrats to all the admits.

My First Business Suit
After applying to the universities as confident I was to get atleast couple of interview calls that I ordered a nice conservative business suit for the interviews. Yesterday when I went to pick it up, I decided to try it on before taking it home. When I wore the coat, something wasnt right. It seems that tailor had screwed up the back of the coat. Now she is gonna work some more on that, I dont know whether she will fix it or make it worse. I dont really care anymore because its got no use for me anymore. As for the money I spent on it, it will go on the alter of my MBA adventures.

Giving up HWC dream
It seems that I am not going to get interview calls from Harvard, Wharton and Chicago. All my hopes are now pinned upon Stanford and MIT. Stanford is notoriously hard to get into so lets see how these applications go.

Waiting Waiting Waiting
Another day goes by without that email. I was living a normal life until few days ago when I started visiting the blogs of fellow MBA applicants. People have been getting interview invites for sometime now. This triggered my incessant refreshing of my email. I dont feel like working much anymore. When I applied I said to myself I will not let it matter to me whether I get interview calls or not but it seems that I am losing this battle.
Change of status for Stanford
"Your application is complete and currently under review." is what the status of my application screams. This is my dream school. As far as I know, an interview call from Stanford means a very good probability of getting in. I am waiting for that email.

Chatting with a Wharton Alumnus
I just chatted with a wharton alumnus. I met her in the kitchen of my comapny. When I asked her about Wharton, her eyes just lit up. She was a very warm and friendly person. She explained so passionately about all the things she did at Wharton and how the non-disclosuer policy of wharton made things so great!
She said the business stuff you could read and learn but the value that Wharton brought in her life was the friends (she doesnt like to call it network) she made. She said she had such a great time there that despite being so hectic it was almost a vacation time. She said that she would like to talk more about it if I wanted because she liked the school so much.
Seems like Wharton is a great place to be. Congratulations to all those who are joining it this year.
